kitsune is japanese fox-demon. they're said to possess magical abilities, that increase with their age, after 1000 years they can assume human form- usually a beautiful women. Kitsune can trick people, but they can be a faithful guardians, lovers and wives as well, although most of love stories between human and kitsune have bad ending.
